Over 8,500 demographics and geographic identifiers exist for every geographic area, down to Census Tract. CensusCD 1970 exports data for use with other software such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, and statistical programs. In addition, a full set of 1970 tract maps, along with mapping software, has also been included. Map boundaries can be exported into Arc View Shape format or MapInfo MID/MIF format. CensusCD 1970 includes the full data gathered from the Census long form, including information on housing, income, occupation, marital status, race, educational attainment, ancestry, and family structure.

The University of Connecticut Libraries belongs to Center for Research Libraries (CRL), a consortium of North American universities, colleges and independent research libraries. The consortium acquires and preserves newspapers, journals, documents, archives and other traditional and digital resources for research and teaching. These resources are then made available to member institutions cooperatively, through interlibrary loan and electronic delivery. The Center acquires newspapers in three categories: domestic, including current microfilm subscriptions to 54 foreign language ethnic papers and 19 African-American papers; foreign, including current microfilm subscriptions to over 300 papers from 93 countries and 10 papers in newsprint, which are filmed by CRL; newspapers on demand, in which CRL will acquire issues to papers it currently subscribes to. A "systematic review" identifies an intervention for a specific disease or other problem in health care, and determines whether or not this intervention works. They summarize conclusions about effectiveness, and provide a unique collation of the known evidence on a given topic.

Systematic reviews differ from other types of review in that they adhere to a strict design in order to make them more comprehensive, thus minimizing the chance of bias, and ensuring their reliability.
