OAIster

Information about publicly available digital library resources provided by the research library community. All resources are freely available.
OAIster is a broad, generic, information retrieval resource for information about publicly available digital library resources provided by the research library community. The two primary criteria for inclusion in the University of Michigan service are that the information resources the metadata describe are: publicly accessible and have no access restrictions, and have a corresponding web-based digital representation (e.g., this would not include the metadata records for slides when the slides cannot be accessed through the web).

Note: The University of Connecticut Libraries purchases access to Licensed Electronic Resources on behalf of the University of Connecticut community. License agreements usually stipulate the following rights and restrictions:

Permitted Uses: Authorized Users may typically display, download, print, and copy a reasonable portion (generally one or two articles or one book chapter) of the Licensed Electronic Resource.

Restrictions: Systematic downloading, distributing, or retaining substantial portions of information or using software such as scripts, agents, or robots, to retrieve information is generally prohibited.
